A fraud is a fraud is a fraud

I don’t much like Gertrude Stein, whom I don’t much like, or love or even like a little, much.  Occasionally one has to write a screed. Even so, don’t miss the National Portrait Gallery’s Stein show, an interesting addendum to Hide/Seek.

    Mr Kennicott:

I popped over here to learn more about who was responsible for that absurd Post column about the urbanism of OWS, and then read this.

So, given the two items, I see you can’t be all that bad 😉

Keep up the good work, then.

In what sense is Stein a “fraud?” As far as I know, Stein never pretended that her writing was anything different than what it was. Everyone has their personal taste, and I understand that you don’t care for her writing. But for your to miss the serious, artistic intent of her work, or the tremendous artistic skill and brilliant mastery of language in her books shows that, at the very least, you aren’t paying close attention to what you are writing about.
